HOBBY CRAFTS

Please ensure that all tags are securely attached to your entry.

  • All work must be clean and appear new. Old and soiled work will not be judged. Articles that have been stored in mothballs must be completely aired prior to exhibiting or they will not be accepted.
  • Articles exhibited this year may only be brought back next year if entered in a different section.
  • Articles not adhering to the specifications stated in the prize list and regulation books will be disqualified.
  • ARTICLES TO REMAIN ON DISPLAY UNTIL 4:00PM MONDAY.

  5. Toll painted loon.

  14. Old book. Could be cookbook, Bible, school book, etc. To be judged on condition and age.
  15. Canada Day windsock - S.M.A.
  16. Canada Day fascinator.
  17. Best penmanship. Poem about Canada or 'Why I love Canada'.
  18. "Ingenious recycling project!".
  19. Item of plastic canvas - no larger than 12" in any direction.
  20. Homemade soap - recipe to be included.
  21. Zentangle doodling. No larger than 11" x 14".
  22. Mason jar craft
  23. Scrapbooking - 'A trip within Canada or Canada Coast to Coast' - includes a story or description as part of the page - 1 page - please include plastic sleeve.

  1. An article of Paint by Number, framed & ready to hang, not to exceed 16” x 20”
  2. Article of counted cross stitch, ready to hang.
  3. Article of needlework other than counted cross stitch, ready to hang.
  4. Braided or a rag mat, not larger than 36” in any direction.
  5. Painting in watercolour, oil or acrylic, ready to hang, no larger than 20” x 24” plus frame, no paint by number. Preference given to a Canadian theme.
  6. Pencil or charcoal drawing reflecting the theme. Ready to hang, no larger than 12" x 24" plus frame..

JUNIOR HOBBY CRAFTS (15 YEARS AND YOUNGER)

CLASS 706

  1. “I Made It!” - with duct tape. Ages 10 and under.
  2. "I Made It!" - with duct tape. Ages 11 to 15
  3. Canadian beaver puppet made from a paper lunch bag.
  4. Paint our Canadian flag on a rock for the garden. Rock not to be larger than 6" in any direction.
  5. Wigwam made from natural materials. No larger than 12" in any direction.
  6. Create an Inukshuk, not larger than 10" in any direction. Ages 10 and under.
  7. Create an Inukshuk, not larger than 10" in any direction. Ages 11 to 15.
  8. 'My favourite Canadian Athlete'. On an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet. Include a short paragraph describing the athlete and may include a picture. To be hand printed or handwritten.
